1. kick in the pants (ph) 口頭警告  -something that makes you improve your behavior    e.g. He always late for work, so the manager decided to give him a kick in the pants.   2. stall (v.) 推遲  -to delay taking action or avoid giving an answer in order to have more time to make a decision or   get  an advantage    e.g. The weather stalled our holiday plans.   3. gadgets (n) 小零件  -a small device or machine with a particular purpose    e.g. A bottle opener is a kitchen gadget.   4. compelling (adj.) 難以抗拒的;引人入勝的  -If a reason, argument, etc. is compelling, it makes you believe it or accept it because it is so strong    e.g. The lawyer's compelling arguments convinced the jury of the defendant's innocence.   5. tout (v.) 吹捧  -to advertise, talk about, or praise something or someone repeatedly, especially as a way of   encouraging people to like, accept, or buy something    e.g. He is being widely touted as the next leader of the party.   6. ...
